A trusted voice on the phone that helps with safety, mobility, and daily living. Grandparents stay independent, and the family knows their loved ones are safe.
Theresa Cares is a trusted phone service for everyday support — from safety in uncertain moments to mobility and daily tasks at home. It gives grandparents the confidence to stay in charge of their lives, and families the peace of mind that someone is always there.

Theresa Cares was created by Prof. Dr. Alexander König, a professor at the Technical University of Munich, in Germany and an expert in technologies that help older people live independently. He received a Masters degree from Georgia Tech University and did his post-doc at Harvard University. For more than 15 years, Alex has researched how technology can support seniors to stay in their own homes, safe and self-determined, for as long as possible. But for Alex, this isn’t just research. Living in Munich, he often supports his own parents with everyday challenges — from organizing appointments to solving small technical issues. He knows firsthand how important it is for older people to stay in charge of their lives, and for children to feel reassured when they cannot always be there.*NEWS: After a successful launch in Germany we are bringing THERESA CARES to the United States in the fall of 2025
